Leah (Park) Kistler

Leah (Park) Kistler, 55, of Trent, passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2024 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. Her Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 18, 2024 in St. Mary Catholic Church, Dell Rapids. Visitation with the family present will be on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. with the Christian Wake Service at 7:00 p.m. at Kahler-Brende Funeral Home.

Leah Park was born on August 17, 1968 to parents Tim and Carol Park. She attended St. Mary School and graduated in 1987. She then graduated from Lake Area Vo-Tech with a degree in Dental Assisting. Leah moved to Boston where she met her future husband, Mark Kistler. They returned to South Dakota and were married in August of 1998. Leah worked at T & C as an assistant manager for many years. She really liked visiting with customers and friends.

Leah enjoyed gardening, cooking, crafting and spending time with her nieces and nephews. In recent years, Leah filled her days with four-wheeling, fishing, spending time at the lake and enjoying her time with her dog.

She is survived by her siblings, Deb (Rich) Allen of Dell Rapids, and their children, Trevor, Ryan (Krista), Krista (Greg) Schmidt and Gavin (Dani); Floyd (JoAnn) Park of Rapid City, and his daughter, Holly (Brian) Elsinger; Mike (Jeannine) Park of Dell Rapids, and their children, Riley, Michaella (Jesse) Miller, Carson and Payton; her many great-nieces and great-nephews, her extended family and many friends.
