Delores Wood departed from this earth to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, July 21, 2017. Her Memorial Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 in Zion Lutheran Church, Sioux Falls.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the start of the service.

Delores Ann Schildhauer was born on March 1, 1955 at Dell Rapids, SD, the third child to Chris and Donna (Martinson) Schildhauer. She grew up and attended school in Dell Rapids graduating from Dell Rapids High School in 1973. She attended Barber School. She married David Wood in 1978 in Sioux Falls, SD. The couple moved to Texas for seventeen years where she worked for Farmers Insurance Group. In 1995 she moved back to South Dakota  where she worked for CSD Relay from 1999-2013 and then for HOV until declining health forced her retirement. She was living in Trent at the time of her death.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and was active in the Sunday Bible Study. She enjoyed reading, movies and tv series. She loved to work.

Delores is preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her brother, Ron (Linda) Schildhauer of Renner; her sisters, Marie (Gus) Kruger of Dell Rapids, Linda (Mason) Neville of Colton, Marlene “Beck” (John) Hauglid of Colman and JoAnn “Etta” (Mike) Borns of Dell Rapids; her many nieces and nephews; David Wood of Trent and her favorite dog, Ella.
