Madyson Elon Barbee (Mady), the beloved child of Brian and Kendra LeBrun was tragically called away Monday, July 13th, 2015. Madyson Elon Barbee was born September 15th, 2003, in Deadwood, SD. Madyson excelled in everything she did. She was an intelligent, athletic and very talented girl. Madyson loved the pool and riding her bike in the summer and playing in the snow with her siblings in the winter. Madyson was very athletic and loved playing sports, especially softball and basketball. She was extremely talented and loved to sing and dance, especially together. Give Madyson a song and she’d have it memorized and choreographed in no time. Madyson adored shopping, makeup and everything and anything zebra print. Madyson was a great help around the house, especially in the kitchen as she loved to cook, but hated the clean up. Among Madyson’s many talents, her biggest talent was being a big sister. She loved all her siblings, and was an amazing big sister, especially to her little brothers. She had a big heart and cared for many. Madyson made an incredible babysitter, and was just certified for babysitting. She wasn’t intimidated by anyone or anything and wasn’t hesitant to tell you her feelings and opinions about anything. Madyson was full of life, strength and drive and will greatly be missed. We are honored and blessed to have Madyson in our lives for the time we did. Tragedy took her away too young but life holds a bigger purpose for her.

Madyson is survived by her parents Brian and Kendra LeBrun of Dell Rapids, SD, her big brother Austin, her younger sisters Makenzy and Khloe, and her little brothers Jackson and Henry. Her grandparents: Lynette Kirkeby of Deadwood, SD., Bill and Karen Barbee of Holmen WI., and Dave and Sharon LeBrun of Dell Rapids SD. Her great-grandparents: Ken and Vicky Kirkeby of Rapid City, SD., Helen Bracken of Rapid City, SD., Arlene Schmidt of Colman, SD., and Gladys Albers of Holmen, WI. Her many aunts and uncles: Bill Barbee of Holmen, WI., David and Janice Barbee of Dell Rapids, SD., Keersten Simmons and Ian Sternhagen  of Deadwood, SD., Josh and Jacque LeBrun of Dell Rapids, SD., Scott and Keri LeBrun of Dell Rapids, SD., Matt Brown of Holmen, WI., and Erin Molly and Adam Klich of Holmen, WI. Madyson also leaves behind her cousins, many more family members, and great friends.

Madyson Elon Barbee was passionate, caring, motivated, adventurous and full of energy and life. She gave everything her all and she lived a full life in her 11 years. Madyson was a shooting star; she always stole the show, she lit up every room she entered and filled everyone with beauty, warmth and joy. She will be greatly missed by all and never forgotten. Madyson will forever leave dancing footprints on our hearts.

A memorial fund for Madyson Barbee has been established at Home Federal Bank in Dell Rapids.
