Alice A. Blackburn, 90, of Sioux Falls, formerly of Dell Rapids, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2015 at the Good Samaritan Village in Sioux Falls. Her funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 in the Kahler Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be two hours prior to the start of the service. Interment will be in the Bellview Lutheran Cemetery, rural Howard, SD.

Alice Siep was born on May 4, 1925 near Oldham, SD to Herman and Florence (Haskins) Siep. She grew up on the family farm and attended country school. After school she took care of her parents until she got married to Ludvig Bergseth on October 9, 1944 in Howard. The couple made their home in Howard. Ludvig died in 1980. Alice married Leonard Blackburn on May 29, 1981. They lived in Sioux Falls. Leonard died in 1994. She then moved to Dell Rapids in 1996 and lived there until moving to Good Samaritan Village in Sioux Falls in 2012.

She was a member of the Senior Citizens Center Dell Rapids and Sioux Falls.

She is preceded in death by her two brothers.

She is survived by her son, Marty Joe Bergseth of Springfield, SD; five step-daughters,  one step-son; two grandchildren; twelve step-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren.
