Bonnie Schnieders

Bonnie Schnieders, 70, of Dell Rapids, passed away at her home under hospice care. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. with her Memorial Service starting at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at Kahler-Brende Funeral Home. A private family inurnment will follow the service at the Dell Rapids Cemetery.

Bonnie Jean Dockstader was born on December 10, 1951 at Chamberlain, South Dakota, the daughter of  Bill and Berdene (Laun) Dockstader. She attended school in Colman, SD. After high school, she married Randy Schnieders on November 14, 1969 in Colman. The couple moved to Dell Rapids. Randy and Bonnie moved to various places over the next forty years while following Randy’s career. They moved back to Dell Rapids in 2018.

Bonnie enjoyed her pets, always having English Springers, her time spent with her family and her granddaughters.

She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Jerome and Darrell.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Randy of Dell Rapids; her sons, Derrick (Shawnel) Schnieders of Las Vegas, NV and Jesse (Amanda) Schnieders of Zumbrota, MN; her two granddaughters, Emma and Carlie; her sister, Mary Ann Costello of Sioux Falls and her many nieces, nephews and extended family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
