Cristine is survived by her husband Scott of Dell Rapids SD; daughter, Penny Baker of Dell Rapids SD; son, Keith (Shannon) Frickel of Piedmont SD; sister, Judith (Dennis) Redden of Hardin MT; four grandchildren, Ashleigh, Alyssa, Zachary, and Amber Baker; mother, Mildred Sayler of Dell Rapids and brother, Mack Sayler, Billings MT.  Cristine is also survived by many in-laws, nieces and nephews from California to New York. She is preceded in death by her father, James Sayler, brother-in-law, Larry Flinn, Sr, father-in-law, George Eichenauer and nephews, Larry Flinn and Peter Gamby.

Cristine was born on February 5th, 1950 in Billings, Montana to James and Mildred (Timmons) Sayler.  Cris graduated from Billings West High School in 1968. She married Dennis Frickel and to that union was born a beautiful daughter, Penny and a handsome son, Keith. In 1987 Cristine married her husband Scott and they had 29 wonderful years of happiness. They complimented each other well and shared many special times over the years.

Cristine worked many jobs during her lifetime.  She was employed in different positions at various restaurants, housekeeping at St. Vincent Hospital in Billings, Montana, receiving clerk at a sporting goods store and a postal clerk for the USPS.

Cristine was a woman of deep solid faith and was grateful for everyday the Lord gave her.  Cris found immeasurable joy from helping her family, whether it was the making of Penny's wedding dress, laying sod with Keith and Shannon, or creating family heirloom quilts.  Cristine’s heart would burst with joy at the sounds or sight of the grandchildren. Some of Cristine’s fondest memories were time spent with Ashleigh, Alyssa, Zachary and Amber. She also always enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins play, reading, taking walks, crocheting and working on home improvement projects. Cristine had a wonderful green thumb and found great pleasure in gardening. She had very beautiful flower gardens and enjoyed watching the birds, squirrels and the occasional hummingbird make a visit to the sweet blooms and blossoms. She also had a special love for animals, especially dogs. When her beloved Dalmations, Happy and Bingo, crossed the Rainbow Bridge they took a piece of her heart with them.

While Cristine’s passing has left us deeply saddened, we are comforted in knowing she is at home with our Lord and we all look forward to the day we are each reunited with her.

The family would like to thank the entire Avera Home Hospice staff in Flandreau, South Dakota as well the wonderful staff at the Avera Dougherty Hospice House for their unwavering care and support throughout this journey.

Any donations can be made to the Sioux Falls Humane Society of Sioux Falls, South Dakota in Cristine’s name.
