David E. Larson

David E. Larson, 78, of Dell Rapids, passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at the Good Samaritan Society in Pipestone. His funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 in the Jasper Evangelical Lutheran Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the start of the service. Interment will be in the Britton Cemetery, Britton, SD.

David E. Larson was born on September 20, 1945 in Britton, SD, the son of Theodore and Edith (Swanson) Larson. He grew up in Britton and attended school there. He moved with his family to a farm near Jasper, MN in 1964. He started farming with his family. He farmed his entire life and continued to live on the farm his parents lived on after they passed away. His favorite time of year was harvest. In retirement he moved to Dell Rapids and lived with his sister, Marge.

He loved rodeos, traveling and visiting relatives and friends. He went to California several times to see family.

David is preceded in death by his parents, and infant brother, and his brother-in-law, Bruce.

He is survived by his sister, Marge Mellendorf of Dell Rapids; his nephew, Jeffrey Bell and his great-nephew, Lucas Bell and great-niece, Clem Bell; and his extended family.
