Diane Moore

Diane Moore sadly passed away on June 27, 2024, surrounded by family at the Brookings Hospital in Brookings, SD.  In celebration of her life, there will be a private family memorial at a later date.

Diane Hartopp Johnston was born October 31, 1939, to parents Wagner and Dorothy Johnston of Milwaukee, WI.  Diane married Wendel Anderson of Sioux City, IA and welcomed children Laurie, Sue, and Kevin.  She later married Luke Ganje of Sioux Falls, SD and gave birth to daughter Cara and gained stepson Jim.  After many years, Diane married Loren Moore of DeSmet, SD and also added stepdaughter Jackie.  She enjoyed the farm life and community of DeSmet. Diane was most proud of her children and of obtaining a nursing degree at the age of 50. She loved being a care giver to any and all of her patients, and had a very strong belief in faith and God.

Grateful to have shared her life is daughter Laurie (Steve) Anderson of Estelline, SD, daughter Sue Ganje of Hot Springs, SD, son Kevin (Denice) Ganje of Sioux Falls, SD, daughter Cara Ganje of Brookings, SD, stepson Jim (Yvette) Ganje of Bismark, ND, and special friend of Sue, Nancy Varick of Hot Springs, SD.  Diane was also blessed with 14 grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her loving parents, brother Dexter Johnston, former husbands Luke Ganje and Loren Moore, and stepdaughter Jackie Moore.
