Dianne M. Kroger

Dianne's funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 31, 2024 at Kahler-Brende Funeral Home. Interment will be in the St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the start of the service.

Dianne Marie Kroger was born on May 20, 1959 in Dell Rapids, SD, the daughter of Darrell and Dolores “De” (Geraets) Kroger. She grew up in Dell Rapids and attended St. Mary School where she graduated in 1978. After graduation she did various cleaning jobs around the Dell Rapids area. She met Ross Goetz. Ross and Dianne lived in Dell Rapids with his son, Steven. Dianne enjoyed doing ceramics and going camping.

Dianne passed away on her 65th birthday, Monday, May 20, 2024 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls after fighting cancer relentlessly for many years. She is preceded in death by her parents, Darrell and De, her step-father, Nick Salviola; her brother, Dale Kroger; her paternal grandparents, Adolph and Louella Kroger; her maternal grandparents, John and Mary  Geraets and several aunts and uncles.

Left to cherish her memory are Ross Goetz of Dell Rapids, his son, Steven Goetz of Dell Rapids; his daughter, Stephanie (Rob) Halle and their children, Dawson and Tucker of Devils Lake, ND;  her three sisters, Sandy (Dean) Helton, Polo, IL; Linda (Glenn) Bryson Kirbyville, MO; and Deb Duby, of Hilo, HI; three nieces, one nephew, two great-nieces, two great-nephews and many cousins; special friends, Kim (Kyle) Hoffman, Patti Brende Nickles and Carrie Testerman.
