Dear Family: I got to know Fern through my husband, Ron, and the association with the Minnehaha Mandskor. Our hearts go out to you in the loss of such a special loved one. Fern will always be remembered by me for her ready smile and delightful sense of humor. The last time I seen her was a couple months ago. I was so sorry to hear about her passing. Between Fern and Ace...their children were greatly blessed. I know you probably don't know me but I will always remember both your parents and will remain in my prayers in this trying time.

Fern, we have only been back for a little over a week. I was going to stop in to see you this week. You were always so sweet and always asked my mom about me. Fern was an amazing lady! She always brought a smile to my face and a laughter to my voice. I will never forget her visits on Fridays and her stories. She was and still will be a beautiful and stylish lady. She will be missed but her memory will live on! Go get'um girl!

You and Sr. Damien were walking together on the playground and she said to what, "What a good name you have." I didn't realize at the time but learned later that her baptismal name was Angela.
