Jeffrey "Jeff" L. Randall, 73, of Sioux Falls, passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at the Avera Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls. Memorial Visitation with the family present will be on Sunday, July 6, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at Kahler-Brende Funeral Home.
Jeffrey “Jeff” L. Randall was born on March 8, 1952 at Dell Rapids, SD, the son of Lloyd and Rhoda (Anderson) Randall. He grew up on the family farm West of Dell Rapids. He attended school at DRHS and after high school he enlisted in the Air National Guard and started farming. He married Patti Van Dorp on July 17, 1971 at Willow Creek Lutheran Church. The couple moved to the family farm where they were blessed with two children. In 1994, the couple moved to Dell Rapids and Jeff started working for LG Everist for a couple of years. He then went to work for Raven Industries. Jeff and Patti moved to Sioux Falls in 2007. Jeff retired from Raven in 2014.
Jeff enjoyed several hobbies over time. As a younger man, he liked to fly RC model airplanes. He often used his children to find the planes he crashed, but also won several awards and trophies. In middle-age, he got into making stained glass and made several beautiful pieces for friends and family. During retirement, he became quite the sharp shooting archerist! He also became a rather good cook in his retirement and specialized in gourmet sandwiches.
Jeff enjoyed spending time with his family. From long walks in the parks with his wife to family holidays and impromptu gatherings with his children, Jeff loved the warmth of his family around him.
He is preceded in death by his parents and an infant daughter.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Patti; his daughter, Renae Randall (Kevin Klockman); his son, Scott (Stacey) Randall; his grandchildren, Nikya (Damien) Dewitt, Josie (Jonah Paulson) Oyen and Kaylyn (Reid) Nutley and their children, Nevaeh, Brielle and Ward; his siblings, Dan Randall, Chuck (Laurie) Randall and Linda (Jerry) Johanson and his many nieces, nephews and extended family.
