Jon "Tom" Jones

Jon Thomas "Tom" Jones, a highly decorated Vietnam veteran of Mount Vernon passed away at the age of 80 from a brain aneurysm on August 26th. His Memorial Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 10, 2021 at Kahler-Brende Funeral Home, Dell Rapids. Visitation with the family present will be one-hour prior to the start of the service. Inurnment will be in the Hills of Rest Cemetery, Sioux Falls.

Tom was predeceased by his parents, Lloyd and Amy Jones; sister, Barb Schmidt; and daughter, Debbie Soulek. He is survived by his wife, Debbie Jones; daughter, Julie (Steve) Stofferahn of Dell Rapids; stepdaughter, Lisa LeMond; stepson, Austin LeMond; 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
