Kathryn "Kathy" Davis

Kathryn "Kathy" Davis, 69, of Dell Rapids, passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at her home. Her Memorial Service will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Kahler-Brende Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the start of the service.

Kathryn “Kathy” Krempges was born on December 30, 1953 in Sioux Falls, SD to Edward and Phillis (Arionus) Krempges. At the age of 5 she moved with her family to Dell Rapids. She grew up and attended school in Dell Rapids. She graduated from Dell Rapids High School in 1972. She then went to work for Ecco in Madison, SD. She married Gene Alberts. To this union her daughters, Jami and Niki were born. She later married Danny Davis in 1987 when their son, Jeb was born. The family made their home in Dell Rapids before moving to Trent in 1991. Danny died in 2014. Kathy remained in Trent until moving  back to Dell Rapids in 2021. Kathy babysat numerous children throughout the years.

She enjoyed crafts, collecting elephants and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Kathy is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Danny Davis; her brothers, John, Kelly and Denis; her sister, Kristie Theesfeld; foster sister, Angie Metli; nephew, Josh Krempges, great-niece, Mariana Krempges; her sisters-in-law, Penny Krempges and Sherry Dailey and her brother-in-law, Joe Theesfeld.

She is survived by her two daughters, Jami (Brian) Alberts of Trent and Niki Alberts of Dell Rapids; son, Jebadiah Davis of Trent; her grandchildren, Ashley (Steve) of Trent, RaeAnne (Zak) of Sioux Falls and Hunter of Dell Rapids; her great-grandchildren, Henry, Hudson and Hadley of Trent; her siblings, Jean Ann (Doug) Feuerhelm, Dan (Moe) Krempges, Craig Krempges and Bernie (Julie) Krempges; her numerous nieces and nephews.
