Keith A. Spence

Keith A. Spence, 74, of Dell Rapids, passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at the Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls. In accordance with Keith's wishes, he will be cremated and his remains laid to rest in Westmoreland, Jamaica on Saturday, November 4, 2023.

He was born on November 4, 1948, to Hugh Spence and Dora Lee Holness in Westmoreland, Jamaica. He grew up with his grandparents in Westmoreland and later moved to Kingston, Jamaica for work. 

Keith was an automobile mechanic by trade in Jamaica. He enjoyed watching western movies, cooking and baking. He was instrumental in assisting many family members and close friends through difficult times over the years.

He spent his latter years living in the US with his three eldest children and was a part of the Dell Rapids, SD community before passing.

He is survived by: his wife Dorret Spence; his children, Claudette Wright, Tracey Spence, Keith Spence Jnr, Stephen Spence and Scelesia Scott; his eight grandchildren; his siblings; relatives and close family friends.
