Minnie Loken, 102, of Youngtown, AZ, formerly of Dell Rapids, SD died on Sunday, April 8, 2007 at the Baptist Village Cook Healthcare in Youngtown, AZ. Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the Willow Creek Lutheran Church of rural Dell Rapids. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Visitation with family present will be held at the Kahler Funeral Home on Friday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Minnie Haugstad was born on September 26, 1904 near Bruce, SD, the daughter of Jacob and Marie Haugstad. Minnie grew up near Bruce and she attended country school. She was a graduate of Arlington High School in 1922 and Augustana College in Sioux Falls, SD in 1929 with a teaching certificate.

After teaching 3 years in rural schools and 3 years in high school, she married William Loken on May 27, 1932 at Fairview, SD. A
