Zachary Michael Nussbaum passed away on June 21, 2015 in Sioux Falls, SD. He was born December 16, 1989 in Plattsburgh, New York. He graduated from Dell Rapids High School in 2008. Zach was currently employed at Troy’s Wood Specialties in Dell Rapids, SD, where he was employed since he was 16 years old. Zachary enjoyed music, playing the drums and guitar were some of his hobbies. He also enjoyed family and spending time with his friends. He loved cheering on the Green Bay Packers, along with most of his other family members.   Zach enjoyed dinosaurs growing up he could name every single one, he felt the same way about birds.  As a child, he would bring the bird book out and try to have you read it to him as a story.   As life progressed for Zach, he never lost his charm.   He was what people would call “a wild card”.   He never lost his love for music. His favorite thing to do was to jam out with his friends.  He loved to play his instruments and create his own songs.  Zach had lots of love for his family and friends. Growing up, he babysat his cousins, brother, and sister regularly. He had an amazing smile that filled everyone’s hearts with joy.

Zachary is survived by his parents,  Jason and Tamara Dearduff of Dell Rapids; Rick Witczek, his father; his sister, Cassidy Dearduff, and his brother, Adam Dearduff, both of Dell Rapids; grandparents Eugene and Dianne Nussbaum of Trent, Roger and Judy Dearduff of Dell Rapids, and Lucy Wendell of Egan,; and the extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins; and many others. He is also survived by his best canine friend “Harley Sue”.   Zach was preceded in death by his grandfather, Francis Wendell  and Uncle Cole Dearduff.

He will be greatly missed and forever remembered in our hearts.  May you share your music with the angels in heaven.   Until we meet again ~
